What is the process of organic fertilizer production line using vegetable waste as raw materials?

2025/02/24

Vegetable waste is the discarded vegetable parts left over from food processing or waste, and is usually discarded as garbage. However, vegetable waste is actually an organic resource that can be converted into efficient organic fertilizer through proper treatment methods. This article will introduce the process of organic fertilizer production line using vegetable waste as raw materials to reduce waste and promote the development of sustainable agriculture.
1. Collection and classification: First, establish an effective collection system to ensure that vegetable waste is collected in a timely manner. Set up special containers or stacking areas for collecting vegetable waste. At the same time, classify different types of tail vegetables, such as root vegetables, leafy vegetables, fruit vegetables, etc., for subsequent treatment and mixed use.
2. Composting: Mix the collected vegetable waste with other organic waste (such as kitchen waste, straw, etc.) to form compost. During the mixing process, it is necessary to pay attention to maintaining a suitable carbon-nitrogen ratio, and balance the high nitrogen content of the vegetable waste by adding an appropriate amount of carbon source (such as straw or sawdust). Pile the mixture into a compost pile of appropriate size, and regularly turn and ventilate the pile to promote decomposition.

3. Control humidity and ventilation: During the composting process, it is very important to maintain appropriate humidity and ventilation. Vegetable waste usually has a high water content, so it is necessary to pay attention to the regulation of humidity. The humidity should be adjusted to 55-60 in the initial stage of composting to avoid poor fermentation or odor caused by excessive humidity. At the same time, by regularly turning the pile and ventilating, sufficient oxygen supply is provided to promote the activity of microorganisms and the degradation of organic matter.
4. Fermentation is completed: After 30-45 days, the vegetable waste pile is fermented, no longer has odor, and presents a dark brown or black color.
5. Made into organic fertilizer: The fermented vegetable waste can be made into commercial organic fertilizer through crushing, screening, adding nutrients, granulation and other procedures.
The above is an introduction to the process of organic fertilizer production line using vegetable waste as raw materials. Not only vegetable waste, but also poultry and livestock manure, kitchen waste, etc. can be made into organic fertilizer.
