Firstly, the base fertilizer in NPK fertilizer was screened separately, and the raw materials were crushed, and then screened. Feed the screen discharge into the corresponding hopper. In the process of compound fertilizer manufacturing, each basic fertilizer is fed into the feeding hopper from each hopper through metering equipment, conveying equipment and lifting equipment according to matching requirements. At the same time, the returned material is also fed into the feeding hopper together with the base fertilizer through the lifting device. During transportation and upgrading, the base fertilizer and recycled materials are mixed to a certain extent. The mixture in the feed hopper is fed to the fertilizer granulator at a given feed rate.
At the same time, the proper passage of saturated steam under the material layer not only increases the temperature of the material, but also makes the material moist, which is conducive to granulation. If necessary, pour a small amount of water or fertilizer solution over the material to maintain the optimum amount of liquid for granulation of the material. The material forms particles by friction generated by the rotation of the drum granulator. When the material rotates with the cylinder, the particles slowly roll towards the outlet along the simplified inclined direction.
Finally, the NPK fertilizer granules leave the granulator and dry in a dryer, which is then screened, cooled, packaged and stored. The unqualified particles are crushed and used as the return material together with the sieved powder, and then granulated again.


The granulator in the NPK fertilizer manufacturing process is one of the key equipment for fertilizer production. Its main working method is wet granulation of particles. After a certain amount of water or steam, the alkaline fertilizer is adjusted in the cylinder for a full reaction. Under certain liquid phase conditions, the rotational movement of the cylinder is used. A squeezing force is generated between the material particles to coalesce into balls. The main body of the drum granulator is made of special rubber sheet lining or acid-resistant stainless steel lining. In the compound fertilizer production process, the rotary drum granulator, steam, gas ammonia or adding phosphoric acid or nitrogen solution, phosphate ammonia slurry, heavy calcium slurry, and chemical compound heating compound fertilizer granulation process.
